The Bluetooth test set MT8852B is a market-leading RF test instrument, mainly used for design verification and production testing of various products integrating Bluetooth technology. It supports the transmission power, frequency, modulation and receiver sensitivity required by the Bluetooth Basic Rate (BR), Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) RF test specifications.
In production, a simple button action starts a test script, which can complete the test of a device in less than 10 seconds.

Bluetooth low energy testing
With the Bluetooth low energy option and the BLE data length extension option, the MT8852B can perform radio layer tests that are fully compliant with the newly introduced Bluetooth v4.2 standard. Extending the length of the data packet from 37 bytes to 255 bytes in Bluetooth low energy increases the effective throughput of the system.
The Bluetooth low energy option thus adds 6 Bluetooth low energy test cases to the standard product.
These test scenarios can be run separately as part of a test script, which simplifies the creation of test plans and minimizes the time required for testing.
Audio Test Function
MT8852B supports all three coding interfaces (μ-law, A-law and CVSD) and up to three SCO channels. This instrument integrates multiple test equipment into a Bluetooth wireless technology tester to provide the most comprehensive test. The plug jack on the rear panel provides analog input and output for all three audio channels.
Adaptive Frequency Hopping Detection Function
The adaptive frequency hopping option can analyze coexisting mutual interference signals from WLAN, etc. When interference is introduced, this option can provide a graphical display of FER and mask channels to optimize hardware design.
